Does A General Dentist In Michigan Need A Sedation License To Perform Iv Sedations On Patients?
I am going to say yes because some patients can have complications when they are under sedation and the doctor will need to be prepared for that. I would not go to a dentist that is not fully licensed to do that. I have worked for 3 different general dentists and we always had to refer our patients to see an oral surgeon if they wanted to be sedated because they were not licensed to do that but all oral surgeons are. You really need to look into that if you are planning to have any type of sedation done from a general dentist.

YES! IV sedation is not a normal part of dental training. Even with the extra training accidents still happen. Two people have died in Chicago this year alone from IV sedation. A little girl on the south side and a middle aged woman this week on the north side. Although I don’t know that you’d call these accidents, the first was negligence and the second it is still unknown.
Hey, the girl at 5:49 played JT’s girlfriend “Sam” on Step by Step.
Smfh witcha bad ass ! RT sometimes i forget that my license is on restriction until next year lol
