wisdom teeth/dental insurance policy question?

I need to get my wisdom teeth taken out, and I just lost my job that gave me dental insurance to cover it. The Procedure costs 1,800 dollars...I could pay for it out of pocket but I was wondering if it would end up being cheaper to purchase my own dental insurance policy and get it done that way? any help would be great, also, does anyone know of cheap dental insurance for a 19 year old male? I don't know what matters with dental insurance....so I don't know if it would be cheap or not. Thanks!

The U.S. doesn’t do the best dental work, they also have issues with lawsuits and so forth and have issues with quality care as well. Obviously american dentist are just pissed that american citizens are going to Mexico for care. I’ve seen the prices for dental work here in the U.S., you can buy a new car for some of these prices! It’s ridiculous. I’m looking into getting my mom’s dental work done in Mexico.

I have had them for over 5 years now, they have helped me save thousands of dollars on my dentistry work. I have insurance also, and some procedures and services are not covered…(i do not why) but when they are not i use my plan as a supplemental. I signed up online and have nothing but good this to say about them.
Insurance companies suck. I say free health care for everyone.

I signed up with them online over 3 years ago, when i was in college for all my dentistry work without age limits. And I still have them. They have helped me save thousands of dollars from extractions, root canals, cleanings. I know for a fact that all services are included especially orthodontics and dentures in the benefits. They had my membership active in 2 hours and was able to use the same day. I am very thankful that I found them. Check to see if they are in your area.

You will have to either get your own policy or not have insurance. It isn't usually possible to cover people who aren't your family under insurance so you were lucky to have it at all.
